Deglet Noor Dates--
The Royal Date

Deglet Noor dates are the poster child of the date community, they are what most people envision when picturing dates. These pitted dates, commonly referred to as “The Royal Date” or “The Mother of All Dates”, have gained worldwide popularity for their versatility. Deglet Noor dates are not only a consumer favorite, but popular for chefs, bakers, ingredient producers, and breweries to use in their recipes.

The date ranges in color from yellow to amber and are translucent in color. They have a firm flesh, about medium sized, semi-dry, and a sugary flavor. This composition makes it the perfect substitution and healthy alternative sweetener for refined sugars in cooking and baking. Many people use them to make date sugar, syrups, or pastes to bake with. They are dry enough to chop up and add to recipes while still maintaining their consistency in cookies, breads, or other baked goods.
Deglets are a great source of iron, fiber, B-vitamins, antioxidants, flavonoids, and potassium. Unlike the Medjool Date that only contains glucose and fructose, the Deglet Noor date contains glucose, fructose, and sucrose in almost equal parts and serve as a powerhouse for quick energy. Not only do Deglet Noor dates taste great, but they are also nutrient dense.

Our Products

Delight Natural is the largest organic date farmer in the United States by acreage and volume. We grow and harvest millions of pounds of Deglet Noor dates every year. Deglets are carefully graded and inspected by our internal food safety and quality control team. After grading, sorting, and inspecting the dates, they are then either packaged for retail consumption or processed into one of several ingredients that are sold in bulk. Some of the ingredients we carry are:

• Pitted Deglet

• Diced Deglet coated with gluten free oat flour

• Diced Deglet coated with coconut flour

• Deglet Paste

Deglet Noor Dates contain fructose, a naturally occurring sugar in fruits. They make a great healthy alternative to refined sugar in recipes because of their nutrients, fiber, and antioxidants. The best way to substitute dates for refined sugar is by making a simple date paste by mixing dates with water in a blender. A 1:1 ratio of 1 cup sugar and 1 cup of date paste makes an easy sugar replacement offering a variety of health benefits from the swap.
